What is free, what is paid
Trip Split is free to use for a whole trip. You only pay if you want the extras, once per trip, and one person pays for the whole group. No subscription.

No surprises

- Every paid feature is marked before you tap it, and tells you what it costs. Nothing is charged by accident.
- Everything free stays free, also after you unlock.
Refunds
Full refund within 7 days of paying, as long as you have not used a paid feature on that trip.
Paid features are: quick notes beyond the 5 free ones, creating a share link, emailing the bill, exporting CSV, and changing the end date after the trip has started.
Once one of them has been used, the unlock has been delivered and is not refundable. After 7 days it is not refundable either. A refunded trip goes back to the free plan; its expenses stay.
To ask, the person who paid opens the trip, taps ⋯ → Refund. The app checks the rule at once and refunds you, or tells you exactly why not. Questions: [email protected].
